Replacing or Installing a New HVAC Comfort System?

Considering replacing or installing a new comfort system in your home or office? Think all installs are alike? Not true! Brand selection alone is not the most important criteria for a true comfort system.

  • Will it be energy efficient?

  • In short, will I be getting what I am paying for?

We Install ...

We provide complete Heating and Air Conditioning system installations. We can design and install a completely new system, or replace an existing system. Here are some of the steps we take to ensure a long lasting, efficient, quiet, comfortable system.

Installation Process

1. We visit the property to discuss your needs and expectations. We sketch out a floor plan and gather important information such as window sizes, orientation, and area of each room, framing, number of family members, pets, air quality interests etc.

2. Then computerized load Calculations are performed to correctly determine the size and capacity of both the Furnace and the Air Conditioner that will be needed to best suit your needs.

*The equipment type and efficiency is chosen based on the customer’s needs and desires.

3. A mechanical plan is prepared showing the preliminary equipment locations, duct routing, duct sizing, grille locations, grille sizes, and thermostat location. *Duct sizing calculations are performed to determine the proper size duct and grille required to properly cool each zone, or room, of the home.

4. The plans can then be reviewed and approved, or the homeowner can make changes. When a final system design is determined, the installation can begin.

5. The installation begins by carefully laying out drop cloths and protective plastic as needed throughout the home. We always treat your property with respect.

6.The grilles are carefully installed into the walls, floor, or ceilings with careful consideration given to best location for airflow to the room and aesthetics.

7. The furnace and cooling are installed in the attic, closet, crawlspace, basement or even the roof depending on best location.

8. Properly sized air ducts are connected between the air delivery unit and each individual supply outlet register and return intake grille.

9. The air duct is then sealed at joints & seams per C.E.C. guidelines, insulated per code, and strapped in position.

11. After we have confirmed that we have reached extremely low air leakage and your home's air conditioning is operating efficiently, an independent HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rater is called in to perform a second test, as required by code. The required Low Leakage figure is verified, documented and given to the Building and Safety Department that has jurisdiction and will be inspecting your new system for compliance.

12. Finally, we will go over the systems operation and controls with you, and explain the minimal maintenance that is recommended to help keep the system operating comfortably and efficiently throughout the years.

Of course, if while you are enjoying your new comfort system a question should come up, please call us at 818.781-7666 or e-mail at service@comfortz.com. We are happy to serve!
