Heating and Air Conditioning System Installation Design & Planning
There is nothing more important to a great heating and air conditioning system, than beginning with the proper design.
Calculating Heating and Cooling Amounts
This starts by calculating the exact amount of heating or cooling needed into the home, as well as into each of the individual rooms. After these load calculations are done, the system can be designed to insure efficient operation and a comfortable home or office.
Supply outlet and return inlet grille locations are selected to attain proper air circulation in each specific room and visual appeal. Other considerations are to eliminate drafts (actually feeling airflow blowing on your skin) and to achieve low sound levels for quiet operation of your new system.
A proper duct system can then be sized and designed based on the length of the ducts, the locations of the grilles, the location of the equipment, the layout of the room, large glass areas, and the general orientation of each room served by the system. Special consideration must be given to the sound the system produces when operating, with low sound levels maintained throughout your home.
HVAC System Drawing & Plan
Finally, a mechanical drawing/plan can be made. This typically shows all the items previously discussed, in plan view. Grille sizes, grille locations, duct sizes, duct locations, equipment locations, etc. This allows for the homeowner to review the system design before work starts, to have a better understanding of what is actually being installed in their home. This extra time devoted to designing the system, really helps to eliminate the surprises that could occur during an installation.
With these considerations being addressed prior to installation we can guarantee a longer life of your new system with lower operating and maintenance costs.
