Three components that make up clean air in your AC/HEATING system

There are Three components that make u p clean air in your AC/Heating system, that Comfort Control Corp can help with. 

The First is Filtration. The removal of dust and particulates from the airstream. Standard filters remove large particles, basically to help protect the AC cooling coil and internal components of the equipment. Higher efficiency filters (Air cleaners), can also remove tiny airborne particles, like Mold Spores, Allergens and Allergy Triggers, Dust Mite Dander, Pollens, and Fine household dust. This type of higher efficiency filtration can actually help protect the occupants. 

The Second is UVC Purification. UVC purifiers are installed to help breakdown and destroy Viruses, Bacteria, Molds, Mildew, and other living micro-organisms that can be harmful to people. These purifiers also breakdown gases, odors, VOCs, and off-gassing from the furnishings and finishes in your home. They constantly expose the cooling coil to UVC light, which is normally damp and dark all of the cooling season. This helps eliminate mold growing directly on the cooling coil. They also irradiate, breakdown, and kill the items listed above in the airstream. 

The Third is the condition of your duct system. The ducting should be tightly sealed and in good condition. With minimal air loss from the supply and return ducts. Your technician can inspect your ducting at the time of a normal maintenance visit, and let you know if he/she recommends and "re-sealing" and what the general condition of the ducting is. 

Both Filtration and Purification require the system to be in operation to do their job the best. So not only running the Heating or Cooling important, but simply running the "fan" on your system is ideal.
