UVC Air Purifiers are very common on central A/C systems, Comfort Control Corp has been installing them in home and businesses for over 25 years. Most Hospitals and Public Buildings now require them. 

A UVC Air Purifier consists of a long bulb, with an electric balls and power supply. the bulb mounts inside the airstream of your system, with the Electric Components mounted on the exterior of the system. The unit is installed near the cooling coil, connected to electrical, and tested. They run 24 hours a day to cleanse the cooling coil, and the airstream when the system is used. 

UVC purifiers are installed to help breakdown Viruses, Bacteria, Molds, Mildew, and other living micro-organisms that can be harmful to people. These purifiers also breakdown gases, odors, VOCs, and off-gassing from the furnishings and finishes in your home. A big reason we install them, is for those home in fire prone areas, where smoke smell from wild-fires is in the air. 

Purifiers constantly expose the Cooling Coil to UVC light. The interior of the Cooling Coil is normally damp and dark all of the cooling season. This helps eliminate mold growing directly on the cooling coil They also irradiate, breakdown, and kiss the items listed above in the airstream . 

One component of the UVC system is actually delivered into the living space by the AC system, and can help breakdown the bad items where they lie.
